For most of the country, then end of summer and the start of school means less Back Porch BBQs with friends and family. Being from the South, it means we're just getting started.
Football season is upon us. With football season comes tailgating, game-watching parties, etc. The best time of the year to crank up the grill, heat up the smoker or put a pot of chili on the stove. There is absolutely nothing better than a Saturday in the fall, cooking out with great friends with great football on the TV.
Here at Mis' Rubin's, we take pride in our Game Day Traditions. Whether it be a healthy dose of pancakes, Conecuh Sausage and mimosas in the morning, or BBQ Ribs, Pulled Pork Sandwiches and sweet tea in the afternoon, we make sure we have enough food to go around.
They say that people nowadays would rather sit at home than experience the game first-hand. Things like, quality of TV programming, comfortability, ease... all play their role in keeping people at home. What people don't realize is that their missing the reason people started going to games in the first place... for community!
It's all about waking up, getting dressed, heading out to the quad, or the grove or wherever... meeting up with old friends and making new ones too! You'll see in our social media, we like to use the "hashtag", #makinfriends. That's what we're about... makin' friends. This football season, whether it's around the grill, around the TV or at the tailgate, let's make some friends.
Our challenge for us and for y'all this year: go out of your way to make friends with the people around you this football season. Who knows... they might even play for the other team, but it's worth a shot!
Mis' Rubin's Seasoning is a great conversation starter and goes great on any plate. Hand out some burgers & ribs and make some new friends. We'll see ya there.
We're excited to announce that Mis' Rubin's Seasonings will be making an appearance at the Safeway BBQ Battle in DC in a little less than 2 weeks! We have been encouraged by long time friend and supporter of Mis' Rubin's, Rick Browne (Barbeque America) to attend the event, and how could we say no?!
This is our first event and we could not be more excited about the opportunity to meet some awesome new people and get to taste some incredible BBQ. If you're planning to be in DC for the BBQ Battle, or would like more information, let us know, we'd be happy to help answer any questions you may have.
We will be there... Black Magic and White Magic in tow, to share our brand and our vision with the new friends we'll make over the course of the weekend. When it comes to Mis' Rubin's it has always been about more than just great southern seasonings.
We want our product to be a conversation starter... a friendship incubator... that ultimately brings people together for the sole purpose of having a great time, with great food and investing in one another.
Mis' Rubin's does that by promoting our brand, along with other brands that we believe in. From other spices and sauces, to butchers and brewmasters, we want to make sure that people know about the great products the people of Alabama are putting out. Makin' new friends is pretty stinkin' cool too.
So... make friends with your butcher, your local farmers, brewers and give them your support! Who knows? You might make some great friends in the process... we have. ;)
One - Two, One - Two
To everyone that visits the new site... We cannot thank you enough. This has been a long time coming and we are so excited to share it with each and every one of you. Thank you to our friends and family for being loyal and believe in our cause: to share great stories, with great friends over good food and delicious meats.
Mis' Rubin's is committed, not only to the quality of our product, but making sure that you take away more than just a seasoning when you leave here. We want to be apart of change in this part of the country. We want to help support the local business and small towns that make our country so great.
We believe that some of the best conversations, relationships, business deals and life happens around a table, and we want to be apart of that.
One of the largest growing industries in our world today is meat production. While it's a large industry, the demand is still higher than the quantity available, and that makes for higher prices. Mis' Rubin's is committed to supporting local butcher shops all over the country and in the Southeast. We're an Alabama company, and we have to start somewhere.
We look forward to sharing life with each and every person that visits misrubins.com as we walk this road. It's going to be an amazing trip, can't wait to see where we end up.
-The Mis' Rubin's Team.
